1. INSTALL FILEMAKER PRO
   

• Use the link provided to you in the email to access the licensing page.
  
• Under LicenseCertificate, click Download.
  
• There’s no need to open this file (and you won’t be able to do so). It just needs to be in your downloads folder, as FileMaker references it there to confirm the license. 
  
• Scroll down to Claris FileMaker 2025.
  
• Download FileMaker Pro 2025 for Mac or Windows.
  
• Do not download FileMaker Server. You only need Pro.
  
• After the file has downloaded, open it to run the installer and then follow the prompts.
  
• During that process, you’ll be asked for the license:
  
• In Windows, the system should find the license certificate in your downloads folder automatically.
  
• With Macintosh, it may seem a little counterintuitive when it’s time to enter the license. It seems like you need to type in the long code but you don’t. Instead, click “Browse” and then upload the LicenseCert.fmcert that you downloaded in steps 2-3 above.
