1. INSTALL FILEMAKER PRO
   

• Use the link provided to you in email to access the licensing page.
  
• Under LicenseCertificate click Download.
  
• Keep the LicenseCert.fmcert file in your downloads folder. FileMaker references it there to confirm the license.
  
• Scroll down to Claris FileMaker 19 and click the + at the right-hand side.
  
• Download FileMaker Pro 19 for Mac or Windows.
  
• (But do not download FileMaker Server. You only need Pro.)
  
• After the file has downloaded, open it to run the installer and follow the prompts.
  
• During that process you’ll be asked for the license:
  
• In Windows the system should find the license certificate in your downloads folder automatically.
  
• With Macintosh it may seem a little counterintuitive when it’s time to enter the license. It seems like you need to type in the long code but you don’t. Instead, click “Browse” and then upload the LicenseCert.fmcert that you downloaded in steps 2-3 above. 
  

Follow these steps to add the new Host:

• Open FileMaker
  
• At the top menu choose File > Hosts > Show Hosts
  

• Click the + button
  
• For Host address, enter ash.portagebay.com
  
• For Favorite Name, enter Davidson Galleries
  
• Click Save
  

• When you see your file icons, you can right-click to Add to Favorites
  

• Open FileMaker
  
• Choose the Favorites icon, or go to File > Favorites
  
• You can also choose the Recent icon, or go to File > Recents
  

• Enter your User Name and password
  
• UserName = first 2 initials of first name, then last name, all lowercase; ie: brstanford
  
• Password = sent in an email
  
• If desired, check the box beside Save password in Keychain Access
  
• Click Sign in
  

• If your Account name has a default entry of a different name you can change it.
  
• Open your “File” menu option
  
• Select “Settings”
  
• In the middle of the screen is an User Name section. Enter the User Name given above.
  
• Select OK to Save
