If FileMaker seems to be behaving differently than expected, one quick first step is clearing the cached temporary files. Follow the steps below, then close and reopen FileMaker. 


If you don't see improvement after following these steps, please contact us.


  1. Open FileMaker

  2. Choose Edit > Preferences

  3. Click the Delete button beside “delete cached temp files”

  4. A dialog will appear asking you to confirm

  5. Click Delete again

  6. Then click OK

  7. Close FileMaker and reopen it
